When Tamron Hall Decided She’d Had Enough
It’s only been a few months since Tamron Hall became a first-time mom, but the 48-year-old journalist is already standing up for herself against critics who question her decision to balance motherhood with her career. Tamron, who welcomed her son Moses with husband Steve Greener back in April, recently took to social media to address a particularly nasty comment. After realizing she'd had enough, she fired back at a troll who suggested her baby must miss her because she's so busy working.
What Happened on Instagram?
It all started when an Instagram user left a comment that read, “Poor baby must miss her.” Tamron, who’s been juggling her new role as a mom with taping for her upcoming show The Tamron Hall Show, wasn’t about to let that slide. She screengrabbed the comment, shared it with her followers, and wrote a thoughtful response explaining why she felt the need to speak out against mom-shaming.
View this post on InstagramI am so sick of this. Can’t wait to discuss 9/9/19. This mom shame lameness is so corny and toxic. Fyi my “poor baby” is right here with me and when he’s not he is in the loving arms of Dad, Granny, Nanny … yes I have a wonderful woman who helps me. My mom had her sisters and other women help her too. No shame in women helping women. Knock it off with this nonsense. Let’s talk about it @tamronhallshow. Oh and don’t call this a “rant” from Tamron. It’s a reply and one I would say face to face.

Her Powerful Response
In her caption, Tamron didn’t mince words. She wrote, “I am so sick of this. Can’t wait to discuss 9/9/19,” referring to the premiere date of her new TV show. She continued, “This mom shame lameness is so corny and toxic. For your information, my ‘poor baby’ is right here with me, and when he’s not, he’s in the loving arms of Dad, Granny, Nanny… yes, I have a wonderful woman who helps me.”
Tamron then turned her focus to the broader issue of women being criticized for seeking help and support. “My mom had her sisters and other women help her too,” she explained. “There’s no shame in women helping women. Knock it off with this nonsense.” She concluded by emphasizing that her response wasn’t a rant but a direct reply she’d happily deliver face-to-face.

Love and hugs to all moms, “other” moms, step moms, “play” Moms(I get to take you home after we play), those still trying to be moms and those who say I don’t want to be a mom. I did not set out to “shame” the person who sent that comment. Where I am from when you say “poor baby” that is not a compliment… like “bless your heart” 🤣 Now back to my poor baby lol. Keep smiling and doing your best. We can talk about anything as long as we start with respect. He gets that look side eye from his mama. #mosesandmama

A Heartwarming Reminder
Not long after her initial post, Tamron shared a sweet photo of her 3-month-old son Moses making a funny face while nestled in her arms. “Lol. Baby Moses: What I miss?” she joked in the caption. “Love and hugs to all moms, ‘other’ moms, step moms, ‘play’ Moms (I get to take you home after we play), those still trying to be moms, and those who say they don’t want to be moms.”
Tamron also clarified that she wasn’t trying to shame the person who left the comment. Instead, she wanted to highlight how calling someone’s child a “poor baby” isn’t exactly a compliment in her neck of the woods. “Keep smiling and doing your best,” she encouraged her followers. “We can talk about anything as long as we start with respect.” And let’s not forget, Moses gets that sassy side-eye from his mama!

A New Chapter in Motherhood
Despite the occasional troll, Tamron seems to be thriving as a new mom. Just weeks after Moses was born on April 25, she expressed her excitement about entering this new chapter of her life. In an Instagram post featuring a photo of her sleeping newborn, she captioned it, “Moses and Mama!! I can’t wait to introduce y’all to my #sonshine.” She also thanked everyone for their love and support, crediting her husband, who couldn’t stop crying tears of joy, for snapping the perfect picture.
We’re rooting for Tamron and her adorable little family as they navigate this beautiful journey together!
