At 51 years old, Andy Cohen isn’t slowing down, especially when it comes to family life. In a recent chat with Extra, Andy opened up about the possibility of adding another bundle of joy to his household. “I might consider having another one—I’m thinking about it,” he revealed. If you’re a fan of Andy’s, you know how much joy his son Benjamin Allen has brought into his life since arriving in February 2019 via surrogate. It seems like fatherhood has been nothing short of life-changing for Andy.
Life with Baby Benjamin
Benjamin, affectionately known as Ben, is growing up fast, and Andy couldn’t be prouder—or more amazed. "He's growing rapidly," Andy told reporters. "He's drinking his milk, he's a really chill baby. He's trying to crawl, grasping a lot, making lots of eye contact, focusing on books. He can almost hold his bottle by himself!" It sounds like Benjamin is thriving under Andy's care, and who wouldn’t want to double down on that kind of happiness?

The Journey to Parenthood
Since becoming a dad, Andy hasn’t been shy about expressing just how incredible this chapter of his life has been. “I worked with an incredible surrogate. She was in California,” Andy shared with People shortly after Benjamin’s arrival. “Surrogacy is illegal in so many states, including New York, which doesn’t make any sense to me. It’s a completely voluntary process, obviously.”
Andy went on to explain how deeply grateful he is to his surrogate. “She viewed it as giving me the ultimate gift. She gave me life. So I’ll be forever indebted to her.” He also mentioned feeling incredibly fortunate that everything went smoothly with the embryo transfer. “There were no complications at all, and I feel very lucky about that,” he added.
The Arrival of Benjamin
Remember the day your life changed forever? For Andy, it was the moment Benjamin entered the world. “I was in the delivery room,” he recalled. “I had been hoping that he would have a full head of hair, and let me tell you, he over-delivered. That was the first thing I saw—this head of hair coming out. I was amazed.”

Andy even got to cut the umbilical cord, a moment he described as surreal. “He was so alert for the first two hours. His eyes were wide open. He didn’t cry; he was just calm. I kind of have no words for it,” Andy said, his voice filled with awe. It’s clear that Benjamin’s arrival wasn’t just a milestone—it was a miracle.
With all the love and joy Benjamin has brought into Andy’s life, it’s no surprise he’s considering expanding his family. Whether or not another baby joins the household remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Andy Cohen is living his best life right now, and we’re here for it.
