Here’s a sweet moment that warmed everyone’s hearts. During a press gathering outside Windsor Castle on Wednesday, May 8, Meghan revealed that Prince Philip, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, was the first royal family member to meet baby Archie. “We just bumped into the duke as we were walking by, which was so nice,” she told the eager reporters. “So it will be nice to introduce the baby to the family,” she added with a smile. Harry, always the supportive dad, chimed in with, “Another great-grandchild.” How adorable is that?

Archie Meets the Queen: A Special Day
Archie’s first day was jam-packed with royal introductions. In addition to meeting Prince Philip, the newborn also had the pleasure of meeting his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The royal couple shared a heartwarming statement on Instagram, saying, “This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle.” They also mentioned that the Duke of Edinburgh and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, were present for this special occasion. The Arrival of Baby Archie
Let’s rewind a bit. Meghan and Harry became parents on Monday, May 6, when Meghan gave birth to baby Archie. The former Suits star and Prince Harry announced the birth with a sweet Instagram post. “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019,” their social media statement read. They also shared that their son weighed 7lbs. 3oz. and that both mother and baby were healthy and doing well. The couple expressed their gratitude to the public for their love and support during this special time in their lives.
