It felt like a dream come true when HGTV decided to bring the surviving cast of The Brady Bunch back together for their new show, A Very Brady Renovation. As we all know, the original series aired decades ago, but the connection between these actors remains as strong as ever. Maureen McCormick, who famously played Marcia Brady, admitted it was “surreal” to step back into the spotlight with her fellow castmates.
Maureen McCormick Reflects on the Reunion
Maureen, now 63, spoke exclusively to Closer Weekly about her experience filming the show. She described the reunion as “very surreal,” adding that it felt like an “out-of-body experience.” For many fans, the idea of seeing these iconic characters back on screen after all these years is nothing short of magical. Maureen echoed this sentiment, expressing how extraordinary it was to reconnect with her on-screen siblings.
Reuniting the Cast: Challenges and Joys
Despite the excitement surrounding the project, the logistics of bringing everyone together weren’t always smooth. The show was filmed in less than a year, but due to the cast members’ busy schedules and geographic distances, they weren’t able to work together as a full group all the time. Maureen explained, “Everyone lives in different parts of the country, and we were working on different parts of the house or in separate rooms. So, we weren’t constantly together.”

Maureen mentioned that over the years, she’s managed to stay in touch with some of her co-stars. Whether it was attending weddings or enjoying dinners together, there have been moments of camaraderie outside the limelight. However, she admitted that it had been at least 15 years since they were all together on camera, making this reunion even more special.
Remembering Florence Henderson
While the reunion brought joy and laughter, Maureen couldn’t help but reflect on the absence of Florence Henderson, who played Carol Brady. Florence passed away in 2016, and her loss left a void in the hearts of her co-stars and fans alike. Maureen fondly recalled the life lessons she learned from Florence, particularly about finding joy in life.
