She said, “I haven’t really heard from Billy directly, but Alexa let me know that he’s super excited.” Now, Alexa, their 33-year-old daughter, is the product of their marriage, which lasted from 1985 to 1994. Billy clearly still has a soft spot for his former partner and is rooting for her in this new chapter.

Family Support: Christie's Kids Are Pumped for DWTS

Christie, the beloved star of Vegas Vacation, isn’t just about Billy’s support. She’s also got a loving family cheering her on. In addition to Alexa, she has two other children: son Jack, 24, from her marriage to Richard Taubman, and daughter Sailor, 21, with Peter Cook. Christie told the media that all her kids are rescheduling their lives to ensure they can attend her first dance on the ABC show. “It’s such a heartwarming feeling knowing I’ll have my own little cheering section there,” she said with a smile.

But let’s not kid ourselves—Christie admits her kids were initially a bit surprised when she told them about her Dancing with the Stars adventure. “They laughed,” Christie told Closer Weekly with a chuckle. “They were like, ‘Mom, really?’ But once they realized I was serious, they got on board. Sailor, in particular, loves to dance, and every time she starts grooving, I try to mimic her moves. Sometimes, she just looks at me like, ‘Mom, seriously?’ But hey, I’m all in for this!”
