Alright, let’s talk about someone who’s truly inspiring. Olivia Newton-John, the queen of feel-good music and unforgettable movies like Grease, is showing us all how to face life's challenges head-on. Even though she’s battling breast cancer for the third time, she’s not letting it take over her life. In fact, she recently opened up in an exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, sharing her thoughts on the future and what she thinks might eventually get her. Spoiler alert: it’s not this round of cancer!

At an event for Julien’s Auctions: Property from the Collection of Olivia Newton-John, she shared some pretty profound thoughts. “Something’s going to get me. I mean, that’s life,” she said, adding, “Everyone’s going to die. I think, you can’t keep pretending that nothing’s going to get you. Something is going to get me one day. It’s not going to be this [cancer] in my mind!” Now that’s a perspective worth listening to. Olivia knows life isn’t about avoiding the inevitable—it’s about living it fully.

Olivia's Determination to Be There for Her Daughter

Olivia isn’t just fighting for herself—she’s got a 33-year-old daughter, Chloe Rose Lattanzi, who she wants to be around for as long as possible. “So I’m going to live long and healthy,” she declared. “I think when you have the cancer diagnosis, it just makes you more grateful for every day. Whereas when you don’t have something like that, you kind of accept everything as normal. It just makes you more aware and more grateful. So it’s been a blessing in many ways.” That’s right, folks. She’s turning this challenge into a blessing, finding gratitude in every moment.

For years, Olivia has been known for her sunny outlook on life, and it’s no different now. She credits her friends—big names like Elton John, John Travolta, and David Foster—with helping her keep that optimistic attitude. “Olivia has always been, as she says, ‘perpetually happy.’ She always says, ‘I keep going with a smile on my face.’ She’s always upbeat and sweet,” an insider told Closer Weekly. “That’s her character. She has said to friends, ‘I hate talking about my health. I don’t like to worry people.’” That’s just who she is—someone who chooses to spread joy instead of fear.
