Let’s be real, folks — it was only a matter of time before Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, chimed in after the arrival of the royal couple’s first child. Surprisingly, Samantha didn’t go for the usual drama we’ve seen from her in the past. Instead, she delivered a heartfelt message that caught many by surprise. Prince Harry and Meghan welcomed baby Archie back in May 2019, and now Samantha has weighed in with her thoughts on the little royal.
Speaking to DailyMail TV on May 8, 2019, the 54-year-old Samantha shared her optimism about Archie’s future. "I truly believe that this little one is going to grow up to be an exceptional man," she said. Now, here’s the kicker: Samantha also expressed her hope that Meghan, now 37, might one day reach out to their father, Thomas Markle. "Life is too short," she emphasized, adding that she believes reconciliation is possible and necessary for the family’s well-being.
Family Bonds and Olive Branches

What Samantha really wants to see is a bridge built between the family members. “There’s so much history here, and while there’s been a lot of water under the bridge, I truly hope everyone can come together,” she said. “We’ve extended the olive branch, and now it’s Meghan’s turn to take that step.” But don’t worry — Samantha didn’t stop there. She also had some warm words for her new relative. “I absolutely adore it! I’m already an aunt, and I’m so lucky to have Thomas and Tyler as my nephews,” she added.

A Change in Tone
Now, let’s not forget that Samantha hasn’t always been so kind in her comments about Meghan. Over the past few months, she’s been planning to release not one, but two tell-all books about her famous half-sister. Back in January, Samantha couldn’t help but tease the news on Twitter. “I couldn’t help but let it slip!” she joked, hinting at the upcoming revelations. But this time around, her words were refreshingly positive.
