Meghan McCain Spills On Gwyneth Paltrow's Unique Living Arrangement

Hey there, friends! Let’s dive into a juicy conversation that unfolded on The View recently. Meghan McCain had some thoughts to share about Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, Brad Falchuk, and their unconventional living situation. It all started when Whoopi Goldberg posed a question to the panel: Could they live in separate homes like Gwyneth and Brad do? Meghan wasn’t shy about sharing her two cents.

McCain's Take on the Hollywood Couple's Lifestyle

During the June 12 episode of the morning talk show, Meghan, who’s 34, chimed in with a snarky tone. “It seems like rich people stuff,” she quipped. “What if you can’t afford two houses? Come on, you guys.” The star of Raising McCain, who’s been happily married to Ben Domenech since 2017, went on to elaborate on why she finds the situation a bit out of touch with reality. Imagine trying to swing two mortgages or rents! It’s not exactly something most people can relate to, is it?

“I don’t try and judge anybody else’s marriage because you don’t know what goes on and what works for people,” Meghan told Whoopi, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, and Sunny Hostin. But let’s be real, folks—the rent alone on two separate homes would be enough to make most of us pretty ticked off. So, Meghan probably wouldn’t go for it herself. Can you blame her?

The conversation kicked off when Whoopi, 63, brought up a recent revelation from Gwyneth. Last week, the Avengers: Endgame star shared that she and the Glee producer don’t live together full-time. Now, at 46 years old, Gwyneth isn’t worried about their non-traditional setup one bit. In fact, she seems pretty content with it. “Oh, all my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” Gwyneth said of her arrangement with Brad, whom she tied the knot with in September 2018.

Why Two Homes Work for Gwyneth and Brad

Since they’ve got two separate homes, Gwyneth lives with her kids, Apple Martin, who’s 15, and Moses Martin, who’s 13. They’re both from her previous marriage to Chris Martin. Meanwhile, Brad stays in his own place with his children, Brody Falchuk and Isabella Falchuk, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Suzanne Falchuk. It’s a unique setup, but it seems to work for them.

When asked about her role as a stepmom, despite not being around all the time, Gwyneth had a pretty funny response. “I have no idea. I mean, sometimes that piece gets complicated when there are two teenage girls. If you’re not all drinking the same Kool-Aid, it can be tough,” the Oscar-winning actress joked. But she added that, at the end of the day, everyone wants the same thing: to feel loved and accepted. And honestly, we think Gwyneth and Brad have got a pretty great thing going.
