Let me tell you, life moves fast, and Christina Anstead knows this better than anyone. In just one year, she's experienced some incredible changes that have shaped her life in amazing ways. Picture this: not only did she tie the knot with her husband Ant Anstead, but she's also expecting a baby! Now, that’s what I call a whirlwind year.
A Year of New Beginnings for Christina
At 35, Christina has plenty to celebrate. She's now happily married to Ant, who’s 40, and they're expecting their first child together. This little one will be Christina's third child, joining her two kids from her previous marriage to Tarek El Moussa—Taylor, who’s 8, and Brayden, who’s 3. And here's the kicker: Ant also brings his own kids into the mix—Amelie, 15, and Archie, 12, from his previous marriage. So, let’s do the math: that’s a family of five, folks! Christina says it best: “All of the kids are so excited.” She loves the chaos and the full house, admitting, “I always thought I’d only have two kids, but now I’ll have five!”
Christina’s New Adventures Beyond Family
But wait, there’s more! Aside from expanding her family, Christina has taken on new professional challenges as well. She's moved into a beautiful new home and launched a new show on HGTV called Christina On the Coast. She’s hands-on with the production process, helping write every script and approving every detail. She told People, “It’s been an incredible experience.” Talk about juggling family and career with grace!

A Look Back at Christina’s Journey
It’s worth mentioning that Christina’s journey hasn’t been without its ups and downs. She and Tarek split in 2018 after nine years of marriage, but they continued working together on the hit HGTV show Flip or Flop. Even during their divorce, they managed to film a new season. Christina admitted to ET that their dynamic has shifted a bit. “Before, I kinda got my way more … Not so much anymore,” she joked, adding that future episodes will feature “a lot more Tarek design.”
And here’s the kicker: Ant couldn’t be happier with how Christina maintains her professional relationship with Tarek. “He’s genuinely pleased,” Christina says. “It’s awesome. It’s exactly how it should be.” She emphasizes that their goal is to ensure their kids feel happy and settled. “That’s what we want,” she explains. “So that really is how we live, and how he projects it, and that’s just his personality. Trust me, it’s the best possible situation for everybody.”
It’s refreshing to see how everyone involved is prioritizing the well-being of the children. Kudos to Christina, Ant, and Tarek for setting such a positive example!
