Mario Lopez Thrives Amidst Career and Family Chaos

The beloved entertainment news correspondent recently opened up about how his life has evolved since he and his wife, Courtney Laine Mazza, welcomed their third child into the world. At 45, Mario isn’t just surviving; he’s thriving in the whirlwind of family life.
“I feel amazing, you know. I actually love all the chaos,” Mario gushed to Closer Weekly. This wasn’t just some throwaway comment. He was sharing his genuine feelings while teaming up with Office Depot for back-to-school shopping, a task made all the more special with his kids in tow. Just a few months ago, on July 8, Mario became the father of three when his son Santino Rafael Lopez arrived, adding even more joy to an already full life.
A Family Full of Love and Adventures
Mario’s family extends beyond just his newest addition, Santino. He’s also the proud father of Gia Lopez, 8, and Dominic Lopez, 5, all with Courtney. He shared how his older kids have taken to their new baby brother with open arms. “The older kids are absolutely smitten with him,” Mario said with a warm smile. “I make sure I spend quality time with them individually too. For instance, I took my son Dominic to a Los Angeles Football Club soccer game this weekend. And my daughter Gia? She went with me to the Dora [and the Lost City of Gold] premiere yesterday. It’s all about balance, and making sure everyone feels special.”

As the host of Access Hollywood, Mario admitted that while Santino is still in the newborn phase, he’s already dreaming of the day they can all play together. “Even though he’s still very much a newborn, I can’t wait until he’s old enough to join in on the fun with his siblings. We feel so incredibly blessed,” he said. “Santino is such a healthy and beautiful little boy, and we’re so grateful for him.”
Baby Santino Already Hitting Milestones
Even at just a few weeks old, Santino is already showing signs of growth and development. “I was just with him earlier, and he was awake, which is rare because, you know, newborns mostly sleep and eat,” Mario shared. “But he’s already putting on some baby weight. Who Does Santino Take After?
When asked who Santino resembles the most, Mario couldn’t help but smile. “He’s got a great mix of both my wife and me. Honestly, it’s a perfect blend of both of us,” he told Closer. “They’re all very outgoing, vocal, and full of energy. Strong personalities, for sure. There’s no doubt in my mind—they’re definitely my kids.”
