During an episode of Dean McDermott’s “Daddy Issues” podcast, Denise, now 48, opened up about her 2004 nude spread in Playboy and how she addressed it with her daughters. "I’m honest with them," she shared. "They had heard that I was in Playboy. I didn’t even think they’d know what that meant because kids these days can find anything online. But I still felt it was important to explain it to them."

What Her Kids Think About It
Interestingly, Denise shared that her kids aren’t exactly keen on diving into all the details of her Hollywood life. "They don’t Google me. Honestly, I don’t think they want to know certain things either," she joked. "If I were in their shoes, I wouldn’t want to read certain things about my parents either. It’s a mutual understanding, and we respect each other’s boundaries."
Denise’s Family Life: Then and Now
Denise, star of Starship Troopers, is a proud mother to two kids, Sam Sheen, 15, and Lola Rose Sheen, 14, with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen. In 2005, she decided to move on from her marriage and filed for divorce. Later, she adopted her third child, daughter Eloise Richards, who is now 7 years old. Despite the changes in her life, Denise remains a devoted and loving mother.
Though Denise is open about certain aspects of her past, there are limits to what she shares with her daughters. For instance, she revealed that her children won’t be watching her 1998 erotic thriller Wild Things anytime soon. "I definitely did not give them a copy," she told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia. "I told them, 'I don’t want you guys watching this,' because one of my daughters brought it up to me, and I was genuinely shocked."
Denise recounted the moment when one of her daughters mentioned the scandalous scenes from the film, including her famous love scene with co-star Neve Campbell. "A couple of friends had told her about it, and I just said to her, 'I would appreciate if you didn’t watch it,'” Denise humorously recalled. “It’s not age-appropriate at all!"
