Remembering Gloria Vanderbilt
Gloria Vanderbilt, the matriarch of the family, passed away at the age of 95 on June 17. Her son, Anderson Cooper, took some time to reflect on her life and legacy when he returned to his CNN show, "Anderson 360." With deep emotion, he shared, “Being able to spend those nine days and nights with her was an incredible blessing. They were the most extraordinary days of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful. Even though I was holding her hand and her head when she took her last breath, it’s still hard for me to believe that she’s gone.”

Through an Instagram post, he wrote, “Gloria Vanderbilt was an extraordinary woman who lived a life filled with incredible highs and daunting challenges. Yet, through it all, she remained optimistic, with a sense of humor that was unmatched. Anderson’s laugh, so iconic and infectious, comes directly from his mom.
