“I admit it: Our anniversary, September 21, totally passed us by last year,” Ree confessed in the magazine. “It was our daughter Alex’s ring ceremony at Texas A&M—a big deal for seniors!—and Ladd and I had to fly there and back in one day because I was filming my Food Network show on the ranch. It was chaotic, to say the least. Luckily, neither of us gets too caught up in celebrating things on specific dates—we’re similar in that way.”

Ree and Ladd have built a beautiful life together, raising four children: Alex, 22; Paige, 19; and their sons Bryce, 16, and Todd, 15. “Ladd had a surprise birthday party for me last night. I was truly surprised,” Ree wrote on Instagram. “My sister was there from Seattle, my closest high school friends came from San Diego, Dallas, Kansas City, and Atlanta, and my oldest and dearest childhood friends were there too.”
