Time flies, doesn’t it? It’s a sentiment that every parent can relate to, and Gwen Stefani is no exception. Even though she’s a global superstar with a career that spans decades, she’s still experiencing the universal joy—and heartache—that comes with watching her kids grow up. Recently, the singer opened up about how emotional it was for her when her youngest son, Apollo, started kindergarten.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 53-year-old shared her feelings about this major milestone in her family’s life. "School started, and I now have a baby in kindergarten. Believe me, it was absolutely devastating," Gwen revealed. "But he’s so excited and doing so well! I also have two kids in junior high. God gave me three boys, and I’ve always been surrounded by boys—it’s been an adventure, to say the least!"

Gwen and Gavin: Co-Parenting Champions
Gwen shares her three sons—Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6—with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, the frontman of the band Bush. Despite their split in 2015 after over a decade of marriage, the pair has worked tirelessly to ensure their boys feel loved and supported. "We both manage to feed them and get them to school on time, more or less!" Gavin joked to Us Weekly at the world premiere of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum in Brooklyn on May 9.

We’re doing the best we can as parents, and I think it’s showing." It’s clear that both Gwen and Gavin are committed to putting their children’s needs first, even as they navigate life as a co-parenting team.
Gwen’s Love Story with Blake Shelton
These days, Gwen has found happiness with fellow The Voice judge Blake Shelton. The couple has been dating for over three years, and their relationship seems stronger than ever. Blake has nothing but praise for Gwen, calling her "the most encouraging person I’ve ever had in my life." He added, "It’s unbelievable how supportive she is. She’s never not been a cheerleader for me."
