We’re gonna have a fifth baby!”

Kevin, clearly needing a little more clarity, followed up with, “So, it’s in the oven?” But Alec quickly clarified, “No, not yet. Not that I know of.” Despite the playful back-and-forth, it’s clear this couple is serious about growing their family. Alec and Hilaria, who have been married since 2012, already have four beautiful children together: Carmen, 6, Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, who’s just 15 months old. Alec also shares a daughter, Ireland, 23, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.

Building a Family: A Journey of Love and Challenges

Back in March, Alec seemed a little hesitant about the idea of having another child. In an interview with People magazine, he joked, “Oh, yeah, Hilaria’s ready for this challenge. But honestly, I’m not so sure I’m up for it. When my kids graduate from college, I’ll be 85!” Despite his playful concerns, Alec later lightened the mood with a joke. “As my friends say, by the time my kids are climbing out the window and getting into trouble as teenagers, I’ll probably be deaf anyway, so I won’t even hear it!” he laughed. “Let’s just see what happens.”

This isn’t the first time Alec and Hilaria have tried to expand their family. Earlier this year, they attempted to grow their family, but unfortunately, Hilaria suffered a miscarriage. On April 4, she shared the news openly with her fans, posting a heartfelt message alongside a candid photo of herself cradling her small bump. “I always promised myself that if I got pregnant again, I would share the news early, even if it meant facing a public loss,” Hilaria wrote. “I think it’s important to show the truth because my job is to help people by being real and open. I don’t want to keep this from you, even if it isn’t as positive or shiny as the rest.”
