In a recent interview with Us Weekly, the Dancing With the Stars pro opened up about their plans for expanding their family. The couple, who already share a 2-year-old son named Shai, are now thinking ahead to baby number two.
Peta Shares Her Excitement About Having More Kids
At just 33 years old, Peta Murgatroyd is ready to dive into motherhood once again. In a candid conversation with Us Weekly on October 8, she expressed her desire to grow their family. “I would absolutely love to have more kids,” she said. “We’re actively talking about it now, and believe it or not, we're even trying to schedule it in.” Peta admitted that her career and the show's timing play a significant role in their planning. “The next season will likely be in the fall again, so I’m wondering if I can fit a baby in before then. It sounds crazy, but we’re seeing if it’s doable.”

Peta Offers Advice to Fellow DWTS Pros
Peta, who is known for her role on the show Faith, Hope & Love, shared that she wants “two kids and then the third one later.” She’s also been offering advice to her fellow Dancing With the Stars professionals who might be considering starting families. “A lot of them have come to me because they liked how I scheduled my pregnancy and how I was able to get back to work quickly,” she revealed. Peta explained that modern women are often juggling the desire to be both mothers and career-driven individuals. “Women today definitely want to continue working and not just be stay-at-home moms,” she said. “They still want to have careers and be successful.”
Maks Chimes In on Their Baby Plans
This isn’t the first time the couple has discussed their plans for expanding their family. Back in January, Maks opened up to In Touch Weekly about their baby-making timeline. “It’s all up to her,” he told the outlet. “It’s her timing, her career. But when it’s go-time, I’m ready to go.” Maks even admitted that he’d love for their next child to be a little girl. “That would be amazing,” he said, adding, “We have someone that’s a little bit of her and a little bit of me, and it’s truly a miracle when two people come together and create something so beautiful.”
Clearly, Maks is excited about their future plans, especially since he’s already enjoying fatherhood. “We now have someone that’s a little bit of her and a little bit of me, and it’s truly a miracle,” he said.
