Listen, if there’s one person who knows how to hustle, it’s Marie Osmond. This powerhouse has been on the go since she was a little girl, and now, decades later, she’s still lighting up the stage and screen. In a recent chat with Closer Weekly, Marie gave us a peek into her daily life, showing us how she juggles her duties as a cohost on The Talk with her Las Vegas residency. Let me tell you, this woman doesn’t know the meaning of “taking it easy.”
Marie’s Morning Routine: How She Starts Her Day
Now, you might think that someone with such a demanding schedule would hit the snooze button a few times, but not Marie. This 60-year-old dynamo starts her day early, around 5:30 in the morning. “I like to take a little time to just wake up my brain,” she told Closer. Can you blame her? After that, she heads straight to The Talk, where her daughter Brianna steps in to handle her makeup. “She does this whole face thing,” Marie says with a laugh. But it’s not all about beauty routines. “Mostly, I just like to catch up and get my brain alive. That’s the most important,” she adds. It’s clear that Marie’s mornings are as much about mental preparation as they are about getting ready for the day ahead.

Life on The Talk: A Day Full of Surprises
For those who think being on a talk show is predictable, think again. Marie, who joined The Talk in early September, says it’s anything but routine. “Because it’s so back and forth, we’ll do fittings for the next day to get everything lined up and make sure everything is good,” she explains. But here’s the kicker: “And then we go in and we find out what the topics are. We never know until right before we do it.” That’s right—every episode is a fresh adventure, and that’s exactly what keeps things exciting for Marie.

Post-Show Responsibilities: Keeping the Momentum Going
After the cameras stop rolling, Marie’s day is far from over. “My publicist or someone on my team will usually ‘have press for me to do,’” she says. And if you’re wondering how long all this takes, she breaks it down: “Whatever it is, you’ll do all of that after The Talk, which is at noon till about 3:00 p.m.” So, yeah, it’s not exactly a nine-to-five gig for this hardworking star.
But wait, there’s more. Once her duties in L.A. are done, Marie hops on a plane and heads back to Vegas, just in time to get ready for her Donny & Marie show. “Then I do meet and greet. I usually get on the plane around midnight, fly back to L.A. and do the same thing,” she says with a laugh. If that doesn’t scream dedication, I don’t know what does.
Why the Long Hours Don’t Bother Her
Even though Marie’s schedule might sound exhausting to most of us, she absolutely loves it. “I love being busy, I love the show, I love the ladies, I love the spontaneity,” she says with a smile. And it’s not just about the fun factor. “I like how they’re still fun, it does not we just sit and talk, they let us do fun pieces. It’s truly the nicest group of people from the crew on… that I’ve ever worked with.” Clearly, the camaraderie and creativity on set make all the difference for Marie.

Treating myself to a massage on my hurt knee and a chocolate croissant. 🍫🥐♥️ OK maybe two… one for tomorrow as well!! 🤣🥰 I just found out that tonight those of us on the West Coast will have a full moon on a #FridayThe13th for the first time since 2000, and it won’t happen again until August 13, 2049!!! For those of you who may not know, 13 is my lucky number. My first record #PaperRoses went #1 when I turned 13, which happened on Friday the 13th. Today feels like a lucky day!!!
