Tuesday's Big Announcement

On October 8, the iconic singer shared the news with her co-hosts Sharon Osbourne, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Sheryl Underwood, as well as the enthusiastic audience. Marie revealed that her brothers Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay would come together for this historic farewell. It’s a moment that fans of the Osmond family won’t want to miss. “When you think about my career, it all started with ‘Paper Roses,’” Marie shared passionately on the panel. “I was just 12 years old, and that song opened doors for me. It led to ‘I’m A Little Bit Country, [I’m A Little Bit Rock and Roll]’ with Donny and me. But if we trace it back to the very beginning, none of us would be where we are today without the original four Osmond brothers. They were the foundation of it all, and they started on the Andy Williams Show. With my birthday coming up, I asked them to make one last appearance on The Talk. They’ll perform together for the very last time—just for me!”

Marie reminisced about the impact her brothers had on her life and career. “Over 60 years in the entertainment industry, and this will be the final time they perform together,” she said with pride. The original four brothers formed their singing group in 1959, paving the way for Donny Osmond and Jimmy Osmond to join later. While Marie often joined them in performances, she eventually carved out her own successful solo career. Fans of the family will get a special treat when the daytime talk show airs this memorable performance.

In a previous interview, Marie opened up about which of her siblings she considers the most talented. “If I had to pick, it wouldn’t be me,” she joked during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in January. “I recently did a show in Hawaii where I paid tribute to my original four Osmond brothers. It was their sixth decade in the business! Two of them had retired, but I managed to convince two of them to come out of retirement for this special occasion. They’ve sold over 100 million records—that’s insane, right?”
