Kristen Bell: Prioritizing Family And Fitness Amidst A Busy Hollywood Career

Kristen Bell Revealed Why She Doesn't Post Her Daughters' Faces On

There’s no denying that Kristen Bell is one of the most hardworking women in Hollywood. But when it comes to picking her projects, she has one guiding principle: her kids. Kristen, who shares two daughters with husband Dax Shepherd, has made it clear that her family always comes first. Her career choices are deeply rooted in ensuring she remains close to her little ones, and this balance is what fuels her creativity.

At just 39 years old, Kristen has already carved out an impressive career for herself. Yet, she’s chosen to work exclusively near her home in Los Angeles, and there’s a heartfelt reason behind that decision. In a recent interview with Women’s Health for their November issue, she opened up about her priorities. “Taking my work far from home would disrupt my family, and they’re the foundation of everything I do. If I had to choose between my career and my family, I’d pick my kids every time,” Kristen revealed candidly.

Kristen and Dax are proud parents to two adorable daughters, Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 4. While her career is flourishing, Kristen remains deeply committed to her role as a mother. Alongside her family focus, she’s also prioritizing her health, hitting the gym hard, and embracing Pilates as a way to stay strong—not just physically, but mentally too.

  • “I’ve always been mentally sharp, confident in conversation, and able to hold my own. But when it came to physical strength, I never felt like I had it. I used to feel fragile or even pregnant at times. Now, with Pilates, I feel like I could hold my own if we ever got attacked by ninjas. I’ve become a valuable asset,” Kristen joked during the interview.

    Rebuilding Strength After Motherhood

Being a mom has its challenges, and Kristen isn’t shy about discussing the physical toll pregnancy took on her body. “Motherhood really tested my core strength. It’s like, ‘That’s it, folks. The abdominal wall is gone.’ I thought, ‘Well, it’s not coming back. Who needs it? Spanx exists.’ But now, I’m rediscovering what my body can do, and it’s been incredible,” she shared.

Beyond the physical transformation, Kristen emphasized the importance of mental health. “I feel so much stronger now, both physically and mentally. Exercise is a game-changer. It boosts serotonin and endorphins, which are crucial for anyone dealing with depression or anxiety. It’s like hitting the reset button for the next 48 hours. I feel centered, patient, and capable,” she explained.

    Parenting Challenges and Triumphs

Despite her focus on fitness and family, Kristen hasn’t been immune to parenting challenges. Recently, one of her daughters ended up in the emergency room. “Our first trip to the ER. One hairline fracture and a finger that got smushed so hard in the door it popped like a jelly donut. I didn’t share a picture because it was honestly grotesque,” Kristen wrote on social media back in August. Thankfully, her daughter is recovering well.

Through thick and thin, Kristen continues to prioritize her family and her well-being. Her dedication to staying active and healthy serves as an inspiration to many. We’re grateful to see her thriving both personally and professionally, all while keeping her loved ones close to her heart.
