Hey there, friends! Let’s talk about the incredible Fran Drescher, a woman who’s truly embracing life to the fullest. To celebrate her 62nd birthday in September, Fran gathered her closest friends for a memorable dinner. “I absolutely adore spending time with my girlfriends,” Fran exclusively shares with Closer. “There’s nothing like the support and camaraderie that comes from these special bonds.”

A Chapter of Pure Joy

Reflecting on her life, Fran acknowledges the blessings that have brought her to one of the happiest chapters she’s ever experienced. From her wonderful friendships to her glowing health and exciting new projects, like her upcoming NBC series Indebted, Fran is radiating positivity. “I no longer carry the heavy weight of inner turmoil,” she says, recalling her journey through life’s challenges. “From surviving a traumatic experience to battling cancer, navigating a tough divorce, and finding love again, I’ve emerged stronger and more whole than ever before.”

Fran’s career skyrocketed during her time on The Nanny from 1993 to 1999, but her personal journey has been equally transformative. “Each experience has shaped me into the person I am today,” she adds. “And I’m grateful for every moment that’s brought me here.”

A big part of Fran’s happiness stems from her passion for making a difference. She hosts wellness summits that promote a holistic approach to living a healthier, more fulfilling life. “Taking care of your body is essential if you want to age gracefully,” Fran explains. “I focus on giving my body the rest, exercise, nutritious food, and recovery time it needs to thrive. It’s something I feel deeply and passionately about. I must honor my body in the best way possible.”

Since her split from her second husband in 2016, Fran has chosen to prioritize her own well-being over romantic relationships. And guess what? That’s perfectly fine with her. “Living joyfully with your friends, family, and most importantly, yourself—that’s the ultimate goal,” she says with a warm smile.

While Fran is a strong advocate for holistic health, she’s also open about her use of cannabis for wellness, especially since undergoing a radical hysterectomy in 2000 after being diagnosed with uterine cancer. “I founded the non-profit Cancer Schmancer, and we’re trailblazers in this space,” Fran exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “We’re focused on identifying the root causes of disease and working toward eliminating them.”

  • “Almost everything that affects our health is triggered by environmental factors,” she continues. “That’s why it’s crucial to be mindful of the products we bring into our homes. At my events, we always include a cannabis panel because, honestly, I used to enjoy a little 'wake and bake.' But now, I fully understand its medicinal benefits.”

Fran Drescher’s Master Class Health Summit, which benefits the Cancer Schmancer Foundation, is set to take place in Los Angeles on November 2nd. If you’re interested in attending, tickets are available for purchase here.
