Let me tell you a story about Alison Eastwood, Clint Eastwood's daughter. In 1999, Alison tied the knot with her first husband, Kirk Fox. At first, things seemed great, but after just one year, Alison realized they weren’t right for each other. By 2000, they decided to call it quits and parted ways. But life has a way of surprising us. Thirteen years later, Alison met the love of her life, Stacy Poitras. They’ve been inseparable ever since, creating a beautiful partnership filled with love and respect.
Stacy Poitras: A Chainsaw Artist Extraordinaire
Now, let’s talk about Stacy Poitras, Alison's husband. Stacy isn’t your average artist. He’s a sculptor who uses a chainsaw to carve stunning pieces of art. How’s that for unique? His work is so impressive that it caught the attention of Country Music Television, which featured him on their reality TV show, Chainsaw Gang. But wait, there’s more! Stacy also gained national recognition when Good Morning America showcased his incredible talent, specifically his ability to carve the seven deadly sins out of wood using a chainsaw. Talk about turning destruction into beauty!

Art as a Form of Expression
Stacy’s passion for art goes beyond just creating visually stunning pieces. He views art as a way to connect with people on a deeper emotional level. “It’s such a violent and destructive tool and I’m using it to make something beautiful,” Stacy said last July. “It can give you a lot of different textures. It’s powerful enough to go through wood quickly, yet flexible enough to carve out elegant details.” Stacy believes that art should evoke emotions. "If it makes you feel something, that’s art," he explained. "If you create something that makes people feel, that’s what art is all about."

Why Wood? Stacy's Love for Trees
When asked why he chooses wood as his medium, Stacy’s answer is simple yet profound. He’s a self-proclaimed tree hugger who has always had a deep appreciation for trees. “I love trees,” he said enthusiastically. “These trees can either turn into something mundane like money or toilet paper. Instead, I’m making art out of them.” Stacy sees his work as a way to honor the natural beauty of trees and transform them into something extraordinary.

Family Life Without Kids
Alison and Stacy have decided not to have children of their own, but that doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy the joys of family life. They love spending time with baby Titan, the newest addition to Alison’s family, whose mother is Alison’s sister, Francesca. “We chose not to have kids this time around, so it’s kind of fun to have him around because he’s like our surrogate child,” Alison joked to Closer Weekly
